For a long time, I was thinking about moving my home observatory to a dark skies site. Weather has been so bad for so long that it was frustrating.

However, moving all my stuff was not only very costly but also risky since I would have had to move it to a different country.

Then, I found OMI Astro. A great alternative and much simpler. No need to move my equipment, dark skies and also, located in the Northern Hemisphere which is exactly what I wanted since I live in the Southern Hemisphere. This way I can cover all of the targets.

I started my one-year subscription this week and I must say... I'm having a blast:

• Equipment is very good (TAO 150 in my case)

• Communication and responsiveness from the OMI team is awesome (thank you Tommy)

• Network quality is great

• Sky is awesome

• I can use the software I want (NINA) and have complete access to the mini pc running the rig.

I'm still in the process of capturing data but so far, the experience has been 10/10.
